Antoinette and Francois Pope: Do You Know Them?
I recently bought the Antoinette Pope School Cookbook, Revised and Enlarged Edition (Macmillan, 1955) at a community garden tag sale. Considering that the book's over 50 years old, it's in very good condition. I've been slowly perusing the book and find it to be really entertaining. I'm fascinated by the tastes and trends of Americans, particularly Midwesterners, from the 1950s as reflected by the recipes and text. (30/06) More
