Police on Long Island have stoked the ire of the wine-and-cheese set after arresting the owner of an East Hampton, N.Y., art gallery for flouting state alcohol rules.
Village police led gallery owner Ruth Vered away in handcuffs on Sunday after she refused to stop serving drinks. She was charged with selling alcohol without a liquor license. (26/05)
